The Peace and More Report

Bring Our Troops Home-Pass HR508 & cut off funding, using the "Power of the Purse"

What can one person do to instigate change in a system that is not serving the needs/values of the people?

Like the little bird lying on its back with its little legs in the air said to the prince riding by on his horse..."The sky is falling!" When the prince replied "What do you think you can do about it with your tiny puny legs?" The bird replied, "I do what I can, I do what I can."

Like the woman throwing the starfish back into the sea...When she was questioned about her actions with a "There are thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands, you can't make a difference! What are you thinking!" She replied as she looked down at the starfish in her hand, "It makes a difference to this one." Then she threw it back in the sea.

It's only too late if we don't start NOW!

What can I do? There's a story about the babies in the river. What do YOU choose to do about them?
Pretend you don't know, don't care, or tell yourself you are not equipped to save them?
Jump in and save the ones you can?
Call for help getting the babies out?
Form a committee to study the problem?
Ask your elected representatives to take care of the problem, after all that's why they are elected, to deal with this kind of problem.
Leave it to the experts, who have been trained to handle this kind of situation?
Go upriver alone to find out where the babies are coming from, who they belong to, and why it is happening?
Ask others to go upstream with you?
How about walk away from the river? (OOPS! there's another river...)
Have a party and ask everyone to BYOC?
Meditate? Chant? Pray? Take action?

I'm looking through my lens of CHOICE, and imagine everyone has a place, everyone has a role to play. I am seeing my role these days as offering hope and inspiration through my view of reality:

PEACE IS BREAKING THROUGH EVERYWHERE.

"When the people lead, the leaders will follow"
